Leadership Plus is made up of a small, highly motivated and flexible staff team. The Director is responsible for the overall management of the organisation, development of strategies and the achievements of the strategic outcomes. This is a part-time position (0.8), or four days per week.

The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for those Initiatives that have a competence/skills development component to them. This is a full-time position.

The Office Manager is responsible for all office systems including finances, contributing to the Initiatives by managing communication and information, both internally and externally.

 

Stephen Gianni - Director
Before taking up this role Stephen was the director of Social Action & Research at the Brotherhood of St Laurence. He has also been the Senior Advocate at the Office of the Public Advocate, the Executive Officer of Vicserv - the peak body in the non-government psychiatric disability sector, and the Executive Officer of the Attendant Care Coalition (now Action for Community Living). Stephen has also founded and managed his own businesses overseas. He is currently the Chairperson of Victoria Legal Aid's Community Consultative Committee and a Board Member of DASSI, Arts Access Victoria and the RMIT Disability Advisory Committee. He is a Fellow of the Leadership Victoria Community Leadership Program, and is currently undertaking an MBA at RMIT.

Suzanne Teese - Training and Development Coordinator
Before taking up this role Sue was Principal of Travancore School, a specialist Department of Education school providing programs for children and young people with mental health disorders. Under Sue's leadership the school provided a flexible range of programs designed to maintain young people in their schools of origin or reintegrate them back at the earliest opportunity. Sue has also lectured in the tertiary sector, delivering the Certificate of Education, Integration Aide, for Monash University. She has a strong interest in providing innovative learning and development opportunities for people with disabilities.

Tanya Askey - Office Manager
Tanya has had extensive experience in Administration for the past eight years in the community welfare sector, health services, small business and retail. Tanya has also owned and managed her own business in South Yarra, Victoria. She is currently completing a Diploma in Community Welfare Work at Northern Metropolitan Institute of Technology (NMIT). This is a part-time position (0.8), or four days per week.
